The Wingate Institute, Israel's National Centre for Physical Education and Sport, and Israel’s Meir Medical Center, the medical center and caregiver for Israel’s Olympic Team, has enabled Israeli’s Olympic athletes to have on-demand access to their medical information.

This innovative and collaborative project began three years ago to computerize the medical records of the Israeli Olympic team for Beijing 2008, making them the first and only team in the world to have their medical information available in a virtual file, called a personal health record (PHR), that contains personal medical data (medications, medical history, lab results, X rays etc.) collected from different medical institutions (hospitals, HMO’s, family physicians, specialists, etc.) as well as athletic achievements, training schedules, dietary calendar, nutrition requirements, etc.

All athletes have instant, online access to their medical file and can upload their own data from external medical tools, such as blood pressure and pulse monitors. Additionally, the medical file can be read in different languages, and can be downloaded to PDA’s, memory sticks and USB bracelets, so the athletes can have their medical information with them at all times.

Terem Emergency Medical Centers, Israel’s largest provider of urgent care, provides every Terem patient with online access to their medical records.

More than 200,000 patients come through the doors of Terem’s facilities each year. As a part of an effort to improve patient services, Terem teamed with LifeOnKey to offer patients a Personal Health Record (PHR) so they can have online access to all of their health information (lab results, diagnostic tests, blood pressure, pulse, etc.) that is generated from their visits within the Terem system.

LifeOnKey is working with the Israel Cancer Association (ICA) to create a specialized Personal Health Record (PHR) for women with breast cancer.

This customized PHR will help women in each stage of breast cancer (just diagnosed, treatment and remission) to be a fully empowered and active participant in their health care.

Not only will women have online access to all of their medical information (doctor, visits lab results, diagnostic tests, medication information, etc.), they will also have the ability to better manage their care. Since all of their health information is online and all in one place, these women can keep track of their progress and monitor the important wellness-related factors of their care, such as diet, nutrition requirements, exercise, and their emotional health.

The customized PHR will also be part of a larger ICA resource for breast cancer patients, containing relevant information about breast cancer, such as living with and beating the disease.

LifeOnKey is working closely with the Gaucher Clinic at Sharey Hospital in Jerusalem to offer a customized PHR that meets the specialized health needs of Gaucher patients and their physicians. Although the number of Gaucher patients worldwide is about 15,000, people who are living with this disease require constant medical monitoring and health checkups, as well as daily management of the disease and coping mechanisms. Gaucher patients generally undergo a variety of types of medical care, and see several different medical specialists since the disease affects multiple parts of the body. LifeOnKey’s tailored PHR for Gaucher gives patients and their physicians the ability to closely monitor their physical and emotional health, doctor visits, lab results, and procedures such as blood transfusions and surgeries.

Israel’s largest provider of travelers insurance now offers every customer who purchases insurance a LIfeOnKey PHR., enabling them to gather their medical history from the different medical institutions and store their medical data in a secure medical file available from anywhere at anytime, whenever medical attention is needed, or whenever there is an emergency.

Traveling, especially abroad, involves some risk, especially when it comes to your or your family’s health. AIG-Israel policyholders now have peace of mind knowing they have all of their important medical information, such as allergies, medication, dietary requirements and immunization information, as well as special medical alerts--for diabetes, heart or other health condition--available to them whenever they go.

All of this information is available on-demand anywhere there is online access. And for even more peace of mind, the information can be downloaded to a portable device such as USB bracelet or printed out in an easy to use health book---even before a traveler leaves home. Additionally, all of the medical information can be translated to another language, if needed.

Israel’s largest health insurance provider offers LifeOnKey PHRs to all of its policyholders, enabling them to gather their medical history from the different medical institutions and store their medical data in a secure medical file available from anywhere at anytime, whenever medical attention is needed, or whenever there is an emergency.

No matter when or where a Harel customer needs access to their medical information, a LifeOnKey PHR gives them the ability to fully manage their overall health and wellbeing, as well as have instant on-demand access to vital emergency information such as blood type, sensitivity to certain medications, chronic illnesses, allergies, and any other medical information.

Harel policyholders with LifeOnKey PHRs will also receive regular updates of their ongoing medical data including tests, X rays, CTs and MRIs, medical opinions, etc, which will automatically be updated to their file. Each PHR will also include a retroactive medical history, documenting various visits to doctors, clinics or other health care providers.

University Medical Center Utrecht (UMC), one of the largest public healthcare institutions in the Netherlands, has teamed with LifeOnKey in a Gestational Diabetes program that offers a customized PHR to UMC patients that are pregnant and coping with diabetes.

Through this specialized PHR offering, a woman can track her pregnancy by automatically collecting all the important health data necessary to monitor her and her unborn baby's condition. Physicians will also be able to better monitor their patients and provide more individualized care.

Patients are able to download data from medical devices directly into their medical file, such glucometers, glycemic and blood pressure meters, weight scales, etc; monitor diet and see how what they eat affects glucose levels, and overall health of the woman and her unborn baby; manage medication and nutrition goals; receive alerts if target levels, such as glucose, are out of range; and monitor and track the prenatal condition of the growing baby.
